Prior to starting his solo career, he was the principal composer; lead singer and bass player of the rock band The Police. Sting reached a pinnacle of success in 1994. He won two more Grammy Awards and was nominated for three more. Soon after that, he released a greatest hits compilation called Fields of Gold: The Best of Sting, which eventually was certified Double Platinum.
